Professional Experience

Note: Dun & Bradstreet acquired the Bisnode Group in 2021. The roles below represent one continuous 30-year career, not a change of employer.

Consumer Regional Data Owner — Dun & Bradstreet Europe

2021 – 2026
  • Carried B2C data leadership into D&B — a global data and analytics leader — post-2021-acquisition, adopting D&B's Governance Framework for the Consumer Data Domain across the EU: owned the enterprise data dictionary (~100 elements), 6 governance/data-standard documents, and 50+ quality measures.
  • Delivered 2 Power BI reports: data quality measurement, and content visualization for sales support.
  • Acted as the link between Global Data Operations and 19 Local Data Markets, delivering 4 data-intelligence services (crawling, extraction, verification) across 5 data flows.
  • B2C: built a Python-based API extraction pipeline aligned to the data dictionary, feeding a Power BI report for Commercial.
  • B2B: built a Python-based comparison procedure between Global and Local data to measure real-world data usage for quality, reported via Power BI.
  • Championed adoption of ML/LLM-powered data extraction and authored detailed handover documentation ahead of departure.

B2C Group Data Manager — Bisnode Group

Sep 2016 – Dec 2020
  • Led the data workstream of Key Initiative 2, Bisnode's group-wide program to build a Consumer Intelligence data solution across 10 European countries — the resulting API remains in production at D&B Nordics today, generating an estimated €10–20M in annual revenue.
  • Built a national consumer database from scratch for Poland (~€300K development budget; partner sourcing, legal and quality assessment, multi-source integration) and developed custom data quality tools for address/name parsing and duplicate resolution.
  • Evolved from product delivery into Group Data Manager, taking ownership of the overall B2C data vision across Bisnode's 10 local entities — building a unified consumer product database covering approximately 100 million consumers.
  • Aligned data definitions, coordinated ontology work across the group's B2C data sets, and consolidated data centrally, ensuring privacy compliance in collaboration with DPOs.

Director: R&D Data Strategy — Bisnode Belgium

Jun 2013 – Sep 2016
  • Led a 17-person team managing 30 data sources spanning B2C, B2B, and data quality, with direct responsibility for the ~€1M annual data sourcing budget.
  • Delivered a consumer database (8M+ people), survey-based segmentation (1,000+ questions → 50 key profiles), an address/building database (100+ statistical variables), a data-quality database (8M+ people), and a company database (2M+ contacts, KBO/BCE-based).
  • Delivered technical expertise for a major telecom client — integrating a Single Customer View across subscriptions, prospects, and contest data and implementing individual and household identity linking, completed weeks ahead of the GDPR compliance deadline.

R&D Manager, Data Quality Technical Product Manager — Bisnode Belgium

Dec 1996 – Jun 2013
  • Progressed from C developer to R&D Manager over 17 years, building and leading a generic, customizable ETL data quality product (100+ C modules, Unix/Linux) that processed 100M+ records/year for 100+ clients.
  • Grew it into Bisnode Belgium's most profitable product line — about one-third of company revenue (€15M+ turnover).
  • Delivered address verification/correction, duplicate identification, and household-linking for a major international client across 15 European countries (2003–2008), both as batch processing and as an interactive web service.

Software Developer, R&D — Destin Inc.
